Has anyone been on a road trip lately?

I’m excited to announce the next single leading up to my new album. This one is a country/rock crossover with a singalong hook and a ripping saxophone – it’s called ‘Washington’! In this road trip anthem we are channelling Americana heartland rock archetypes. It’s a song for those who like to hit the road just to see where it takes them and to find adventure along the way. It’s about looking back on your history as you get older, and realizing there is still so much to look forward to.

I’ve been drafting this song for many years, but it really came together working with my band. Brad Pedwell brings the acoustic rock feel with guitars on this song, Ian Malinski has a gorgeous baseline and Mikey Chamzuk drums glue the whole thing together. We even got one of Vancouver‘s best, Mike TW Allan to play saxophone on this song and he blows hard! Recorded in Vancouver at hipposonic and Raincity, recorders, Matt Roach, mixed and provided additional production on this one so you know it’s gonna be a heater.

Check out Washington coming out February 16, play it in the car when you’re on an adventure, see how far you can get. Pre-save HERE!
