About Matt Katz

Originally from Brooklyn NY, Matt Katz has been producing, writing and creating music since 1997. Matt has been a touring keyboard player, has served as co-writer, arranger, and backing vocalist who of course has handled so many tambourines. From 2004 to 2010, Matt Katz toured with The Bloodsugars and several other bands playing stateside and international festivals. It was during those years that he also cut his teeth as a producer. In 2013, he produced the critically acclaimed record “Color Movies” by Dane Terry of The “Dreamboy” podcast. Known for lush string arrangements, and a cinematic approach, Matt worked on several singer songwriter albums from 2010 until the present including two EP’s by Audra Isadora, Travis Mcclung and Maryanne Marino to name a few. It was through the making of those records that it was suggested by colleagues that he make a record of original work in the fall of 2019. Also a seasoned instructor, he is 20 years into teaching piano and voice.
