Tour Kick-off show, Vancouver Edition!

This fall, two quintessential BC musicians come together for a very special series of shows on Vancouver Island. Vancouver’s piano man Matthew Presidente and Victoria’s folk darling Kele Fleming. Through the tour they will hit Nanaimo, Victoria and Duncan. Each show will consist of a solo set from both artists showcasing their new material along with deeper cuts from their catalogues. They have also promised a few special collaborations, unique to each city.

The tour, dubbed ‘In my Dreams’ celebrates the release of Kele’s newest single ‘In my Dream’ and Matthew’s upcoming single ‘Different Dreams’. You can be sure to hear renditions of these songs along with many more in this cozy, touching and intimate performance. Don’t miss the chance to see these two artists in this unique showcase for an unforgettable evening of music!

This special Lana Lou’s show will see Kele with her full band, Matthew solo and a special guest performer.

About the Performers:

Vancouver’s piano man, Matthew Presidente (he/him/his) is a bold rock/pop songwriter. Whether performing solo or with his full band, his music’s honest queer perspective invokes nostalgia, small town memories and challenges you to reflect on an exciting journey of self discovery.

Referred to as “one of — if not ­— the best singer/songwriters our LGBT scene has” by Xtra Magazine (Vancouver), Matty has showcased his original material at Vancouver venues such as The Fox, The Chapel, The Roxy, The Railway Club, XYYVR and The Hollywood. Most recently he toured BC for a 10 city run including three Peak Pride weekends spreading queer entertainment through the province.

Along with producer Matt Roach (RainCity Recorders), he’s currently finishing a new full-band album with songs speaking of life changes, personal empowerment and ultimately evolution. You can hear the first singles, ‘A-List’, ‘Hundreds or Fives’ and ‘Sungold’ now on all streaming platforms.

Victoria’s folk/rock artist Kele Fleming (she/her/hers) has been collaborating with DJ’s and as a result, her music career has taken an unexpected change in direction. Her original songs are intelligent, conscious, and often challenging, documenting her thoughts on the environment, society and politics. With Neko Case tenacity and Lucinda Williams grit, now fused with electronic beats make for an extremely unique sound.

A proud member of the LGBTQ2A community as well as being an older woman in the music industry, her presence in today’s music scene is an important one in making it a more diverse and inclusive industry.
