Review:
This fun Christmas show took place in a beautiful restaurant in front of about 75 ABC staff members! Matt and his new guitarist JUSTIN GUPTHAL awed the audience with some crazy Christmas carols! Starting off the set with an old rarity, RED HOT MAMA, the 'abc rockers' showed their stuff. LITTLE DRUMMER BOY - an ethereal extended jam with crazy guitar and haunting piano set the Christmas tone (from HELL!) Next came Matt's newest triumph - WILLOW, followed by more Christmas carols then the new funked out I CAN'T BREATHE. The audience started to get into by FROSTY THE SNOWMAN - a punky fast version with loud guitars and techno beats! For the encore Matt and Justin took on VERTICAL HORIZON'S EVERYTHING YOU WANT, followed by a rousing OH GIRL to close the set! Leaving out usual favourites like long talk, troubled, july, and as i go along seemed strange, but the Christmas songs needed to be there - look out for Matt and Justin at Night Shift soon where they will do a huge set with all the favourites!
