Review:
June Bug was Matt's first show in Tssawwassen, and it featured him along with a variety of different acts (John Henville (as Chocolate Baby), Jamie Makutra (with her band Hapiness), Ian Malinski (with Starlit), Kooch, Lauren Barber, and Episode) as a benefit concert for the Bedard family, after the recent suicide of their son Jordan. The most well attended concert put on (over 250 people!) and one of Matt's best - starting with an explosive performance of Troubled, Matt knocked the audience out of their socks! Dedicating MATH CLASS to Jordan and the other teen suicides in Tssawwassen was a tender moment of the evening. Finishing with Joe->Oh Girl ended on a fun note. The other bands were amazing as well, Jamie Makutra with the voice of a rising star, Episode with their loud and aggressive rock style, and Starlit with their tender ballads made it a night to remember for all! A follow up concert will be held at the teen center on August 11th!
