Review:
After a bit of a hiatus from his original material, Matthew headed to the Backstage Lounge on Granville Island to do a big birthday show with lots of talented friends. Throughout the evening there were performance by Tara C Taylor, Jenn Buchanan, Rose Record, Laura Reznek, Stephen Emery, Pedwell, and Pete Lemon! Matthew's 80 minute set featured many guests, including a special 'Matt n' Brad' acoustic encore with Pedwell. In celebration of the 10 year reunion of Matthew's first record (Things that go through your head in Math Class) a few old tunes were performed - As I go Along with Rose Record was lovely, and the touching Math Class with Pedwell was also a special moment. The show finished with an extremely rockin' performance of Halloween complete with Raining Blood snippits! The room was packed and the show was amazing! Great night!
